I had the privilege of going to Caleb's Spanish Immersion Kindergarten class for the first time today to help out with their Thanksgiving Feast. I was at the pumpkin pie (pastel de calabaza) station...fun and messy!
Welcome! We decided to design this website so that we could keep in touch with our friends and family both near and far! We can't promise anything too exciting...just every day life! We hope that you enjoy keeping up with the boys because they are growing up fast!

Caleb's Thanksgiving Feast
My Thanksgiving Prayer for Caleb & Joshua
Thank you for Caleb. His sense of humor is contagious, his creativity is to be envied, his sensitively is cherished, his loyalty is precious, and his intellect is rare. You have gifted him in so many ways and I am thankful for them all. It is such a joy to see his love of art, music and academics. It is so neat to see his curiosity of far away places and people. Thank you for his desire to learn more about you. I pray that this desire would be in his heart all his life. That he could never get enough of you. Keep his heart pure and committed to you. Help him to have a hunger for your Word and to serve you all the days of his life.
Thank you for Joshua. His loving spirit melts any heart, his desire to be close to others is so special, his sensitivity is cherished, his speed is hard to catch up with, and his little mischievous spirit instantly lightens a serious mood. You have gifted Josh in so many ways and I am so thankful for them all. It is so neat to see his love of the outdoors, animals and anything with wheels. When he is outside in your creation, he is complete and so happy. Josh is a gift that we are still opening and it is neat to see all the different layers of "wrapping paper" come off to reveal something new. Preserve his sensitive spirit and bless him with bravery. Place a hunger for your Word in his heart and give Josh a desire to learn more about you. Keep his heart pure and committed to you.
I place Caleb & Joshua in your hands, Lord. My first prayer for them is that they would grow to be men of God. That you would use the special gifts and personalities that you have blessed them with for you. I pray that their hearts would be sensitive to your still small voice. That they would be strong boys and that they would always stand up for what is right. I pray that they would always strive to be more like you. That they would be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, and have self-control. I pray that they would be men of integrity and that they would have a humble spirit towards others. Raise up Godly men in this generation. Cause them to stand for you, trust you and to be brave just like Caleb & Joshua of long ago. Help them to always be close to one another. Nurture the love that they have for one another and that they would be loyal brothers and life-long friends.
Jon and I commit Caleb & Joshua to you and we ask for your wisdom and patience as we navigate all the bumps and curves in raising them for you. We are so inadequate for this great task. Make up for us when we fail, intervene when we fall short.
Amen
Fall Fun!
A few blogs back you heard me complaining about our COOOLLLD weather in October. Well, thankfully that has changed and November has been beautiful. Here are some random pictures of our fall outings...

Caleb's Quote
After dinner tonight Caleb told us...
"Claire told her friend Faith that she needed a Prince and she picked ME!" Caleb rolled his eyes and had a goofy disgusted look on his face. I asked him what he did while he was her Prince and he said, "I ran away!"

Trick-or-Treat
This year Caleb wanted to be a Minnesota Twin, Joe Mauer. Josh was our little construction guy, Bob the Builder.
Happy Birthday Grandpa Joe!
Grandpa & Grandma Miller braved a blizzard to see us last Friday for his 70th birthday. We did not tell the boys they were coming, so when they came along to pick Caleb up from school, we had one little excited boy on our hands!
We had dinner, opened presents and had cake to celebrate! The boys were sooo excited for birthday cake and enjoyed helping with the candles.

Caleb & Josh played games and "brum, brum" cars on Saturday with Gma & Gpa. We also went to the mall dressed up in costumes and played in the play area. It ended up being a very nice day, so we were off to Trick-or-Treat after they headed home!
