Mother's Day!

Jon got home from Rapid City on Thursday and brought home a yummy cake from a bakery in Rapid.
It was so nice to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom...Jessie had to get in on the picture too! We went to a nice church service, had lunch and then went to the Parade of Homes!

I am so blessed to be a Mom of two very special little boys...what a blessing they are!

Grandpa & Grandma Fisher Visit!

My parents were able to visit the end of April & first week of May! As usual, I had a "project" lined up for them to help with! This time, it was an underground dog fence for our new member of the family! I don't have pictures of us installing it, but here are some training pictures after it was put in. Jessie trained really well and caught on extremely fast. She understood the concept within about 3 days (instead of a few weeks)...a few nicks and she knew her boundaries!

We even tempted her with grilled chicken and balls thrown over the boundary line and no go!

On a stinky side note... Mom and I went grocery shopping Sat AM and I put Jessie on the treadmill before we left. Grandpa & Josh were on the couch reading a book and watching TV. Jon was upstairs cleaning up bkfst. All of a sudden Jon heard, "GO GET YOUR DAD!!!!" Josh came running upstairs gagging and told Jon that Jessie had pooped while running on the treadmill! Josh has a very sensitive gag reflex...thus his nickname...Gaggums! Anyway, Jon ran down stairs with paper towels and carpet cleaner in hand to find that it was not just ordinary poop, but diarrhea! Jessie was at a pretty good jog, so we literally had "shart" (as Jon calls it) flying everywhere! What luck...we had literally left about 10 minutes earlier for the grocery store! So Jon, who has a hard time changing his children's diapers, scraped and scrubbed dog poop off the floor! He generously did leave the cleaning and sanitizing of the treadmill belt for me! How kind!

We also went to the Outdoor Campus to learn about Eagles. Josh enjoyed a puppet show, story, made an eagle puppet and...

Jon and Dad left on Monday AM (Dad for Asia and Jon for Rapid City). Josh thought he could be a stowaway in Daddy's bag! Grandma got to stay on for an extra week with me and the boys!

We had some early Father's day gifts the night before dad left! We have to celebrate when we can!!

Happy Birthday Margaret!

My parents came for a visit the end of April and it has been a few years since my parents have seen Jon's parents. Now that we live in Sioux Falls, it is harder to all get together. So, we decided to meet half-way in Watertown and have lunch and go to the zoo. It was Margaret's birthday, so it was good to celebrate!

Caleb Lost His First Tooth!

Yes...it FINALLY happened...Caleb lost his first tooth on April 22nd! Everyone in his class has lost one tooth or more and he was so excited to enter the ranks of the "Missing Tooth Club!" He was sure to tell us that he wanted to include a note with his tooth requesting that the Tooth Fairy leave money AND his tooth. His note said, "Dear Tooth Fairy, Please do not take my first little tooth. Love, Cubby" After playing with his tooth and taking it out of the Ziploc bag for an hour after he was tucked in, he lost it. Then he looked for the little tooth for no less than another hour! We finally had to put an end to the fascination of his tooth and told Caleb that we would look for his tooth in the morning...BIG crocodile tears flowed and he finally went to bed for the night. The next day, we thankfully found the tooth, placed it under his pillow with strict instructions not to touch or open the Ziploc, the Tooth Fairy came and left a "WHOLE dollar" as Caleb said! Whew...hopefully the 2nd tooth will be less eventful and we will all get a little more sleep!!
