Ending School...Starting baseball & swimming!

Caleb's gym teacher had a goal for all the students at the beginning of the school year...run 30 minutes by the end of the school year! This was a huge goal because Caleb has never been much for running and has said on numerous occasions that he "doesn't like to sweat!" So, all the students worked really hard and during the last week of school they had the "Scooby Doo Race!" Caleb did great and all the kids finished!

Soooo thirsty after the run!

Then we decided to take Caleb's training wheels off (without telling him) and went to a great park with lots of flat and quiet trails. We knew if we told him ahead of time we would have lots of complaining, so this just made them not an option!! He did really well and we are still working on it!

Caleb had an end of the year Spanish Immersion picnic. All the kids had a blast in the sand in the volley ball area...everyone came home with brown legs!

Then he took his final field trip of the year to the zoo. I went along :) We had a nice picnic, played in the park and then toured the zoo. Lots of fun! Caleb has had a really good first year and we are so proud of all that he has learned. He is one of the top readers in the class and seems to really love math as well! Good job buddy!

Baseball season started mid-May and is still going strong! Caleb loves to play catcher and wear all this gear!

Caleb wrote me this little message after one of his games, "I love you with all my heart." He knows how to melt a moms heart!!

We started our 2-week swim lessons the week after school got out! Josh did his first lessons this year and did great...does he look just a "little" excited!!??

Josh has come a long way...we struggled all winter even rinsing his hair in the bathtub...now he is a little bobber in the water!

Caleb continues to improve and will work over the summer at the pools to improve his strokes. He just seems to sink easily...it is really hard for him to float. Jon says he has the same problem...hum...wonder why?!

Some cute video clips of our little "water bugs!"
