We started out the month of April with great excitement and anticipation of an awesome season for the Twins! Jon got a bunch of tattoos and got the boys all pumped up for the season...only to be pretty let down my their lack-luster performance so far! You can always hope it will turn around...right?!!
We also started to see our first glimpses of spring the beginning of April. We went on our first park trip and the kids wanted to play baseball with a stick and imaginary ball! So, we did!!
They were pretty excited to use up some energy from our long winter and get lots of fresh air...it was WONDERFUL to get outside...finally!!
We have had a pretty cool an rainy spring so far, so hopefully the sun and warmer temps will get here soon :)
Josh and I decided to craft one rainy day. We made little bird nests out of paper sacks & diluted glue. Josh loves anything that he can get his hands into and get gooey!
We made one for everyone that we were going to see at the farm on Easter. We filled them with chocolate eggs when we were done! He was so excited to give them away at Easter!
We arrived at the farm on Good Friday and the kids were so excited to see each other again! They got busy right away with what they do best...crafting, coloring, drawing & painting! Grandma has all kinds of fun things to create with! We were also sure to bring along rubber boots for all of them so they could play outside and not worry about the mud!
Josh was sure to bring one of his favorite toys along...Boris the T-Rex. He wanted to show Jakin how it ROARS!! And, Daddy has fun with it too!!
After a delicious ham dinner, we were ready for the BIG EASTER EGG HUNT!! Aunt Anne was kind enough to fill about 120 plastic eggs with candy, prizes and money and the kids were so excited to find them all! The "big" kids, Nathan & Katrina, hid the eggs and everyone else was ready to find all of them!
Josh did too, until he found this dead snake...yuck! He was more excited about that than the eggs I think! No, you can't put that in your Easter basket!!
The hunt was over, all but two eggs were found, so it was time to see what was inside all of them! They ended up finding the other two eggs the next day...that was the challenge...to find the last two before heading home!
